Mission Command

Mission Lifecycle

How an organizational need moves from Help Desk intake to an operational SOTE asset.

1. Help Desk Ticket
A need enters through the Help Desk.
2. Mission Candidate
Triage determines that the problem requires engineered investigation.
3. Open for Proposals
The problem, known requirements, constraints, and evidence are published.
4. Proposal
Students investigate alternatives and submit a defensible solution.
5. Mission Command Review
The proposal is reviewed for evidence, feasibility, risk, cost, security, support, and approvals.
6. Approved / Queued
An approved solution waits for authorization, resources, prerequisites, and execution capacity.
7. Mission Fund / Resources
Funding or other required resources are identified.
8. Execution
The authorized team builds the approved solution within explicit scope.
9. Validation
The implementation is tested against approved requirements and continuity expectations.
10. Operational Handoff
Documentation, Knowledge Base content, support ownership, recovery information, and maintenance expectations are transferred.
